Winter.pumpen fire-extinguish aggregates in accordance to DIN 14462
Fire-extinguishing systems for wall, underground and overground hydrants are regulated in the DIN 14462. In many cases the extinguishing water is received from the drinking water net over an indirect or direct connection. The fire-extinguishing water transfer between drinking water installation and fire-extinguishing system is specified in the DIN 1988-600 to provide a secure separation between extinguishing water and drinking water. Winter.pumpen pressure boosting systems fulfill all requirements for drinking water hygiene for 100 % and furthermore offers a variety of further features for a secure and reliable operation.

Winter.pumpen fire-extinguish aggregates for marine applications
Fortunately fire occurs rarely on board of ships but when it does then often with fatal results. A fire on sea proceeds completely different to a fire on land. Ships are often very complex structures with many sections on a relatively narrow space. Besides watercrafts often have many flammable materials that catch fire easily and can develop many respiratory poisons. Therefore reliable and effective systems for fire fighting are especially important here. Winter.pumpen fire-extinguishing systems for the maritime field with water as extinguishing media cover a wide range of applications also of the different regulations. By our extensive experience we can offer our customers tailor-made solutions.
Fire-extinguishing pumps for marine applications
• Sea water resistant constructions in bronze materials
• Maintenance-free bellow mechanical seal
• Optionally with air intake system
Diesel aggregates
• Compact aggregate with pump, engine, fuel tank and switchboard
• Standard with collection tray in accordance to WHG
• Diesel engine in marine construction
Air circulation and ventilation systems are used in aggregate rooms, e.g. sprinkler stations, if diesel driven pump aggregates or stand-by power units are operated.
A properly functioning air recirculation for the fulfillment of the required romm temperatures as well as the provision of combustion air for the diesel engine is of highest importance. Wrongly designed ventilation systems are a hazard to people and material assets in case of a fire.

Exhaust systems in detail:
Exhaust system DW-POWER
Because of its excellent qualities regarding temperature and pressure resistance as wll as the simple handling and the fast installation the exhaust system DW-POWER is perfectly suitable for diesel driven sprinkler pump aggregates and emergency power systems.
The following features characterise the exhaust system DW-POWER:
No compensator necessary
At an average exhaust temperature of 470 C the thermal length expansion of an exhaust routing pipe per meter of a stainless steel line of more than 9 mm. With standard exhaust lines this leads to compensators for the absorption of the length expansion being needed. But with the system DW-POWER the inner pipe of every component can expand pressure-less thanks to a special plug connection.
Expensive compensators and their extensive mounting are not necessary.
Shorter length elements
All length elements of the DW-POWER system can be shortened to any length. This enables a fast and flexible adaption of the length to the situation at site and saves time and costs. A second journey is therefore not necessary anymore.
Pressure-tight connection
In DW-POWER 2.0 system, the exhaust gas-carrying inner tubes of the components are connected by means of sleevebead connector system. The system becomes pressure tight by cylindrically reduced outer tube connection ends and two integrated sealing rings made of silicone. The system is tested for pressure up to 5000Pa and also suitable for lasting exhaust gas temperatures of 600 ° C. Flanged connections with customized flange dimensions are available to connect the system to the engine exhaust nozzles.
High-quality materials
The inner stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) pipes are made with TIG or laser welded longitudinal seams ensuring maximum corrosion resistance. The same standards apply to the outer pipes made in high gloss from stainless steel 1.4301 (304), which are also available in matt or brushed depending on the request. To avoid the thermal bridges between exhaust leading internal and external pipe high quality insulation shells are used. The pressed mineral insulating material with a very high density of 120kg / m3 and a standard insulation thickness of 57.5 mm provides even at high exhaust gas temperature a relatively cool surface of the outer pipe. Hence the required clearances to combustible components can be correspondingly low. Depending on the project and the required surface temperature, the insulation can also be reduced to 32.5 mm.
Accessories for the systems RK and DN
We have steadily adapted our product program to the requirements of our customers and meanwhile carry a great choice of exhaust pipes and accessories for all common profiles.
System RK
Still many exhaust systems for the diesel-driven pump aggregates in stationary fire-extinguishing units are executed in DN pipe dimensions. There is a good reason for that as this system has been proved reliable for many decades. Besides a very good material availability it especially captivates with low material prices for pipes the accessories necessary. To counteract the high mounting expense as a disadvantage for connecting the components by welding or flange technology there is the possibility to produce the connection welding-free. Therefore the pipe parts are connected by roller grooves with the same roller groove specifications as used in the watersided installations. The machines for the production of roller grooves are already available on site in most cases. A fast installation is possible without problems. The coupling system consists of a pipe coupling and a wire silica fibre seal that is usable up to 600 C and is available in the sizes DN 80, DN 100, DN 125 and DN 150. This connection system can be used in well-ventilated rooms.
System DN
Exhaust lines with DN pipes is the classical and still proven version at permanently installed exhaust systems for stationary diesel engines. We use seamless or welded steel pipes in accordance to DIN EN 10220 or stainless steel pipes in accordance to EN 10217-7. The connection of these pipes can take place in welding procedures or by a flange. Flange connections make sense where components should be exchangeable (e.g. with silencers, compensators …) or transitions to other systems must be made.
Accessoires for fire-extinguish aggregates and exhaust systems
A safe operation of a fire-fighting aggregate or exhaust system is only ensured when all components are perfectly coordinated. Therefore we offer our customers a wide range of customized accessories for the respective aggregate in particular. The high standards you rightly expect from our products is also fulfilled by each of our accessory parts. Because a perfect solution is always more than the sum of its single components.
